Healthy Soils

With a history of research in the Liverpool Plains in building profitable and sustainable practice with landholders across a wide range of soils, we aim to achieve healthy soils, which are resilient to disease and have increased water holding capacity.

There are many mantras in farming systems across Australia from biodynamic, to organic, to regenerative agriculture (just to name a few).  All of these mantras, along with simple good farming practice have in common a focus on soil health as the foundation of their enterprise.

Sometimes a mantra developed in other regions or countries does not directly apply to your area, and flexibility in soil management is a key factor in developing healthy soil, which delivers maximum productivity in a way, which contributes to the health of the soil. SoilFutures can be a part of planning for improving soil health in your enterprise.
